Inn on Crescent Lake

Dubbed as the most romantic getaway in the Kansas City area, this stately and historic bed and breakfast is a great escape in Excelsior Springs. The 1915 Georgian Colonial mansion is located on 22 acres and is embraced by two crescent-shaped bodies of water, historically referred to as Crescent Lake. The inn’s 10 sophisticated guest rooms are each uniquely decorated and feature many modern amenities, and each one has an in-room private bathroom. Owners Craig and Beverly Bohnert pride themselves on creating a relaxing and rejuvenating experience for their guests.

Payne Jailhouse Bed and Breakfast

Formerly a jailhouse and home to legendary police Chief Bill Payne, this bed and breakfast property holds lots of history and adds charm to the historic downtown district of Excelsior Springs. Owners Anna Sue and Mark Spohn saved the property from the wrecking ball and restored it to its former glory. Today guests enjoy gourmet breakfast made in the former jail cell turned kitchen and comfortable accommodations in the travel-themed rooms in the two-story guest house. A brick patio and firepit serves as the perfect gathering place outdoors.

Sunny Side Cottage

Sunny Side Cottage is a 1917 historic craftsman cottage beautifully restored by owners Kim and Gary Sanson. The cottage serves as a whole-house vacation rental with room for up to 6. Guests enjoy three luxury rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, continental breakfast, Wifi, and much more to make every stay as comfortable as your own home. Situated at the top of Sunny Side hill, the cottage has a beautiful view overlooking the downtown.
